Sound familiar?
Businesses are being inundated with all of the ‘why’s’ and
‘should’s’ about including video into their marketing strategy but not so much
on a straightforward ‘how’.
This workshop aims to not only explain the importance of video but also
explores how you can realistically use it to help your business and generate the
leads that you want to see coming from your online marketing and sales.
Based over two sessions, this workshop will not only show you how to create
videos using your phone but will provide the opportunity to receive feedback
and support whilst creating your very first video.
Course Content
In this workshop we will discuss different methods of how to use video in your marketing.
Watch course leader, Beki Doig, create a short-form video on my phone in real-time, from
planning to filming, editing, and publishing, to help make those daunting
apps a lot less scary.
Brainstorm practical content ideas with Beki and other businesses so you can
go away and film a video ready for the following week’s workshop (yes
homework!)
About the course deliverer – Beki Doig
Wild Violet Creative was born in the summer of 2020, but I have been creating
visual content for businesses, individuals, and musicians for the last 12 years.
From working with bigger corporations like creating photography for Dunelm,
product videos for Millets, and photographing bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, my
passion truly lies with working with SMEs who know they should be more
present online but just don’t know where to start.
On my journey to where I am today, I am also a qualified teacher of Media
Studies and ICT and helped the department to become in the top 1%
performing departments in the country due to how we helped each student
develop and explore their potential. After leaving teaching I worked in
marketing for Lincoln Students’ Union, where I was hands-on with creating
photography, video, and other digital content and was the driving force behind
making the visual marketing we created authentic and relatable to students.
I champion imagery and video that’s fresh and authentically tells a brand’s
story, and I’m here to give businesses I work with 100% support on how to use
those visuals to make marketing a business painless, to actually have fun with it
and see results.
